Celebrating Life and Recovery: A Pickleball Party to Remember

As I approached my 78th birthday, I thought I’d have a quiet celebration with a few pickleball friends, some bagels, and a bit of casual dinking. Little did I know that my daughters had other plans in store! The Setup I invited some pickleball buddies over to my daughter’s home, expecting a low-key gathering. But as they say, the best surprises come when you least expect them. The Big Reveal Imagine my shock and delight when I discovered that my three daughters – Shelby, Felicia, and Sydney – had orchestrated a full-blown themed party! They had instructed everyone to dress like me, complete with matching glasses. The result? A room full of “me” lookalikes, each one hamming it up in their own unique way. Laughter and Connection The laughter that filled the air could have easily filled a stadium. Everyone’s enthusiasm and creativity in mimicking my style were not only hilarious but also deeply touching. It was a reminder of the strong connections I’ve made through pickleball and in life.
